The temperature in the Galapagos can vary greatly. Due to the underwater currents, the ocean temperature can range from the mid-60s to almost 90°F. Most of the dive shops on the Galapagos can outfit you with the proper type of wetsuit depending on the water conditions.
The water in the Galapagos is some of the clearest in the world. The visibility is often times 100 feet or better, in fact, most of the visibility is between 50 to 80 feet in almost all places. However, there are some tricky currents. In some places you'll find medium underwater currents from between two to 6 kn; however you may encounter some currents that are stronger than 6 kn.
